A few weeks ago my good friend and business associate Sean Stafford asked me if I wanted a Kentucky flag. Of course with most things political things getting our flags proved to be a little more tedious than we anticipated with certain political offices giving us the run around while other just gave us a flat out “no.” Finally we decided to reach out to the John Yarmuth office and while our request was a little different than most requests they get they still made a firm commitment to us.

Early last week a surprised looking guy dressed in a pretty sharp blazer walked past our office. Fortunately we were eagerly expecting him, and thankfully he had our beloved Kentucky State flags in hand. As he proceeded to walk into our office/ daily adult theme park he took acute notice of Olivia, the 90-pound Labradoodle that more or less acts as our project coordinator. Obviously at this point you’d have to realize that we aren’t your ordinary group of guys.

After some brief introductions he asked the golden question…”so what do you all do?” Our team leader Dan Kimball began to go into a spill about how we provide DNS services to a computer over here and a computer over there. As I’m sure you’re probably wondering what exactly DNS is, he looked as if he were wondering the exact same thing. So he shook his head and nodded in a dazed agreement and gave us a little background on himself. Come to find out Mr. Meyer will be running for Kentucky State Senate later on this year. Not that we don’t like politicians, we just typically have a certain disdain for them. This guy on the other hand, we could instantly tell was much different. Almost like he was one of us! The gesture of personally delivering our flags was enough to win us over tenfold but the fact that he anointed us all Kentucky Colonels is reason enough to win our lifetime support, loyalty, and respect!

Being a Kentucky colonel is something that I’ve always heard of. I’ve heard of it so much, I just never thought that I, of all people, would be one someday. Making money is great but it’s these types of accolades that make us feel good about our contributions to society. I’ve never had much direct contact with any single politician so this experience has definitely left me with a lasting impression of what great leaders are capable of doing. For this I will frame my certificate, display it honorably, and I will fly my great Kentucky flag with pride.

In the latest installment of “It Must Suck To Be You” defamed rapper Gucci Mane has reportedly been arrested once again and sentenced to something  like a year in the slammer. I know this has you shaking your head and saying to yourself “dude what the fuck” but obviously Gucci has some pride issues and he seems intent on making his fans know that he “keeps it real.” I realize that on this very site I reported that Gucci Mane got arrested a few months back for some shit and from what I can recall it turned out to be not so true.

When I first heard about this revelation I thought that maybe this could be a false report as well. Then I got to thinking that this is the same exact guy who murked that one dude out a few yeas back over a rap beef and chain. On top of that he is also the same dude who told an Atlanta judge that he… and I quote “I just like eatin pills.” Based on these two bits of information alone I know that this cat just aint quite on his rocker.

So basically what I’m saying is that if this shit turns out to be true, I feel sorry for his dumb ass to some degree. The only thing that would be better is if they go and lock up his two little flunky ass homeboys OJ Da Juiceman and Shawty Lo, and as a bonus they can go take out that wack ass Wocka Flocka fuck-tard! Chances are if you’re one of those people who used to line up at Foot Locker on Saturday mornings just to be one of the first people to cop the new Jordans then you’ve already seen most of these videos. Chances are if you’re one of those people who had parents that would let you miss the first half of a school day because the new J’s came out on a Wednesday then you’ve already seen these video clips.

Chances are if you’ve ever had a single lick of athletic ability at some point or another you dreamed of being Michael Jordan. Chances are if any of the above probabilities are true of you then you’re already well aware of the fact that the great MJ is getting inducted into the basketball Hall of Fame in just a few hours. Of course its not like anybody didn’t see this coming. It just seems like a longtime coming due to his airnesses three separate retirements. And oh yea, by the way, you’ll have to check the featured video section a little later for the number one Michael Jordan moment of all time. Whether or not you’re a Lil Wayne fan is far beyond the point at this point. The dude we’ve all watched and listened to for at least some point over the past twelve years is rap’s undeniable biggest star. This 40 plus minute documentary on last year’s top selling artist digs a little deeper than most other interviews have managed to make it. Hell, it even beats out some of his most personal songs. Last night VH-1 premiered one of its most intriguing pieces to date and it had everything to do with DeWayne Carter. Watch it for yourself before the authorities pull it off the shelf!

AP – Sean “Diddy” Combs and a number of high profile rap stars will celebrate the release of Raekwon The Chef’s highly anticipated album Only Build 4 Cuban Linx II. Combs has been tapped to serve as host of the release party, which will take place at New York hot spot Santos Party House.

Legendary DJ Kid Capri and Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg will spin at the event, which is being sponsored by Littles and Raekwon’s Ice H20 Records.

“I’m excited about this project. This is a true evolution from where we began,” Raekwon said. “I’m also overwhelmed by the love and support that I’ve received. My long time friend and Hip-Hop veteran, Diddy reached out to offer his support and agreed to host the event.”

A number of Hip-Hop acts have been confirmed to perform at Raekwon’s star studded release party, including Ghostface, Method Man, Beanie Sigel, Life Jennings, Busta Rhymes, Talib Kweli and legendary rapper Slick Rick.

“All the artist involved, extended themselves for the release of my long awaited album because we all feel Hip-Hop as a whole is in need of unifying,” Raekwon continued. “Magazines are closing; online storefronts are struggling because music sales are down. It’s time for Vets like myself to set the trend and strengthen the lane. Dinosaurs like myself are supposed to create the blue print for the new breed to follow.”

Raekwon’s album Only Built For Cuban Linx II hits stores September 8.
